Hi, I’m Amy. I’m
an almost a 30 year-old living in Manhattan with my mischievous but adorable cat, L.C. (she was not named after Lauren on the Hills!…it stands for Lucky Charm)and now my boyfriend, fiancé Nate, too! I work in IT by day and cook out of my pint-sized kitchen new larger kitchen at night. It’s way easier than cooking in my old kitchen, but still messy, but I can’t bring myself to stop.
You might be wondering why I have an elephant as my logo. I’m not sure where it came from, but somehow elephants became a joke between my
boyfriend fiancé and me. Plus elephants are adorable…and I made it pink! I mean seriously, do you have a better idea for a mascot? Also, I feel like an elephant in my kitchen. It’s so small that every time I move I bump into something, knock something over, or spill stuff all over the floor. When my kitchen has been cleaned a little, I’ll take a picture to show you it’s minuscule size.
*update: my kitchen is bigger now (pictures to come soon!), but compared to a house it’s still pretty small…it’s def still tough to make a 4 course meal in there.
In recent months, I’ve become addicted to reading both food and healthy living blogs! I love seeing pictures of what people cook/eat and hearing about their lives. I enjoy how they tell so much that I feel as if I really know them (should I be admitting that?).
I cook dinner almost every night for my hysterical fiancé, Nate, and bake him yummy, fattening desserts. Like most boys, he can eat whatever he wants (though this could be in part due to the fact that he runs marathons) and I love that I can sample new recipes and then give them away to him so I don’t end up eating them 🙂
I like to get creative outside the kitchen too. Although I don’t do it often, I love to draw/paint/crochet, and all sorts of other things. From time to time I may post about that too. I’m not exactly sure what this blog will be like yet, but here goes nothing…
